Frequently Asked Questions
Costs, timelines, materials, approvals and warranty — answered plainly, by the people who do the work.
Getting started
How do I get a quote from Al Khalaq?
Message us on WhatsApp at +971 54 134 2017, call the same number, or email info@ahad3.nestproweb.com. Send a photo of the space and rough dimensions if you have them. We then arrange a free site visit, measure the room ourselves and issue a fully itemised written quotation.
Is the site visit really free?
Yes. Site visits and quotations are free and carry no obligation. You only pay once you have accepted a quotation.
Do I need drawings or a design before contacting you?
No. Drawings help, but most clients come to us with a photo and an idea. We measure everything ourselves and produce a 3D visual as part of the quotation.
How quickly do you reply?
Usually the same day during working hours — Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 18:00. WhatsApp is the fastest route.
Do you work with interior designers and architects?
Yes. We regularly manufacture and install to a designer's drawings and specification, and we can work directly with your design team.
Pricing and payment
How much does an interior fit-out cost in Dubai?
There is no fixed rate, because cost depends on the size of the space, the materials chosen and the specification. A lacquered wardrobe and a walk-in closet with bronze glass, brass framing and velvet-lined drawers sit at very different points. We price each project individually after a free site visit and issue an itemised quote so you can see the cost of each element and adjust before committing.
Why don't you publish prices on the website?
Because a published figure would be misleading. Two kitchens of the same size can differ substantially depending on worktop material, appliance specification and whether plumbing positions move. We would rather measure your space and give you a real number.
Is the quotation itemised?
Yes. Every quotation breaks down cost by element, so you can see what each part contributes and remove or change items before you commit.
What drives the price up or down?
The main factors are the run length of joinery, the material of worktops and fronts, the extent of integrated lighting and interior fittings, the appliance or sanitaryware package, and whether plumbing and electrical positions need to move.
Timelines
How long does a kitchen fit-out take?
About two weeks on site for a full kitchen. Cabinetry is manufactured in our Al Barsha workshop while the site is prepared, which is what keeps the on-site period that short. Stone worktops are templated once cabinets are installed and can add a few days.
How long does a wardrobe or vanity take?
About one week on site for smaller joinery items — a fitted wardrobe, a bathroom vanity, a TV unit.
When do you give me a schedule?
With the quotation, not after you have signed. You should know the timeline before you commit.
Can you work to a deadline?
Usually yes. Tell us the date at the site visit — handover before Ramadan, before a tenancy starts, before guests arrive — and we will tell you honestly whether it is achievable.
Process and approvals
Do I need an NOC for a renovation in Dubai?
Most Dubai buildings and communities require a No Objection Certificate from the developer or owners' association before work begins, particularly where plumbing or electrics are altered. We prepare and submit that documentation as part of the project.
Can I stay in my home while you work?
Usually yes. For a bathroom, provided there is another working bathroom. For a kitchen, we agree a temporary arrangement for cooking and washing up. We seal off the work area, run extraction, and clear the access route at the end of each day.
Who manages the project?
One site supervisor runs your project from first day to last, so you always know who is responsible. We do not hand you between trades.
What happens at handover?
We walk the completed space with you and write a snag list together. Those items are completed before the final invoice is due — not after.
Materials and quality
Do you make your own joinery?
Yes. Everything is manufactured in our own workshop in Al Barsha, Dubai rather than subcontracted to a third-party factory. That is how we control quality, timeline and price, and how we can build to the exact dimensions of a room.
What board do you use?
18mm moisture-resistant MDF or marine-grade plywood, edge-banded on every exposed edge. Standard MDF absorbs moisture and swells in Dubai humidity, so we do not use it in kitchens or wet areas.
What finishes can I choose?
Sprayed lacquer in matt, satin or gloss; oak and walnut veneer; classic panelled; fluted and reeded timber; bronze mirror and glazed doors. Worktops in quartz, porcelain slab, granite, solid surface or natural marble.
Is soft-close hardware standard or extra?
Standard. Soft-close hinges and full-extension drawer runners are fitted on every project, not offered as an upgrade.
Can you match joinery already in my home?
Yes. Because we manufacture in-house we can match veneer, colour and detailing to existing joinery, including grain matching across adjacent doors.
Warranty and aftercare
What warranty do you provide?
We provide a 1-year warranty on every item we supply and install — joinery, cabinetry, finishes and installation. Appliances and sanitaryware also carry their own manufacturer warranty.
What if something goes wrong after installation?
Contact us on the same number. Because we made the piece ourselves, the people who built it are still here and we hold the specification for your project.
Do you handle repairs to joinery you did not build?
In some cases. Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing or replacing.
Areas and logistics
Which areas do you cover?
Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. Our workshop is in Al Barsha, Dubai, so Dubai projects usually schedule fastest.
Do you take commercial projects?
Yes — offices, retail and hospitality fit-out alongside residential villas and apartments.
Can I visit the workshop?
Yes. We are in Lama Building, Al Barsha First, Al Barsha, Dubai. Message us and we will arrange a time so you can see work in production.
Do you supply appliances and sanitaryware?
Either. We can supply and install a full package, or install units you have bought yourself. Many clients choose their own hob, oven or brassware and leave the rest to us.
Still have a question? Message us on WhatsApp. We usually reply the same day, and there is no obligation.
